Priority Access Overview

Edited

Priority Access is a flexible booking option that allows customers to secure exclusive access to specific booking slots without committing to a recurring subscription. It is ideal for users who want to control when and how they book while ensuring their chosen times remain available to them.

Who It's For

Priority Access is particularly suited to:

  • Clubs or teams with multiple people responsible for making bookings

  • Users who prefer not to use recurring subscriptions (e.g. Automatic Subscriptions)

  • Customers who want to pay at the time of booking rather than receiving an invoice

  • Bookers who prefer more control over their own booking schedules

How Priority Access Works

When a customer is granted Priority Access:

  1. Their email address is linked to a specific slot (or multiple slots).

  2. The linked slot(s) will appear as available only to them when they log in to pitchbooking.com, but not to the general public.

  3. The customer is responsible for making their own bookings through the site.

  4. Payment is required at the time of booking for the total amount in their basket.

Priority Access does not automatically create bookings. Users must log in and manually complete each booking.

Creating Priority Access

Before assigning Priority Access:

  1. You must first create the relevant Membership group that the access will apply to.

  2. Once the group is set up, you can invite members to the group and assign the priority access slot. Details on how to create are here.

Key Differences from Subscriptions

The main distinction between Priority Access and Subscriptions is:

  • Subscriptions can automatically generate recurring bookings.

  • Priority Access gives the user control to book when they choose, with payment due at checkout.

Key Benefits

  • Exclusive Access: Slots are hidden from other users and reserved solely for the specified customer.

  • Flexible Payments: Customers only pay when they choose to book.

  • Greater Control: Ideal for organisations with multiple decision-makers or changing availability.
