Facility Amenities
The Amenities tab in Pitchbooking Manager allows you to add supporting resources and optional extras to a facility booking.
For example, you may want customers to book a changing room with a pitch, or have the option to add equipment hire to their booking.
Add an amenity
Use Add Amenity when you want to link an existing amenity to a facility.
Amenities are bookable resources, such as:
- Changing rooms
- Function rooms
- Additional spaces
- Other supporting facilities
Amenities can be affected by availability. For example, if a changing room is already booked for the selected time, it may not be available to book alongside the main facility.
To add an amenity:
1. Open the relevant facility in Pitchbooking Manager.
2. Go to the Amenities tab.
3. Select Add Amenity.
4. Choose the amenity you want to link to the facility.
5. Save your changes.
If the amenity you need is not listed, contact your account manager or support@pitchbooking.com to discuss creating or configuring it.
Add an add-on
Use Add Addon when you want to offer an optional extra at an additional cost.
Examples include:
- Equipment hire
- Refreshments
- Sports equipment
- Other products or services
Add-ons are created and managed in the Products section. Once created, they can be made available for customers to select during the booking process.
Add-ons are different from amenities because they are not scheduled facility resources. However, add-ons may still have:
- Stock limits
- Maximum quantities
- Site-specific availability
- Other product restrictions
Some consumable add-ons can be added in multiple quantities, but only up to the limits configured for that add-on.
Automatically include an amenity or add-on
Use Add Forcible when you want another resource or product to be included automatically whenever the facility is booked.
The Add Forcible window has two options:
- Bookings — automatically include another bookable resource, such as a function room or changing room.
- Addons — automatically include an add-on, such as equipment hire.
For example, you could configure a children’s party facility so that booking it automatically reserves both the party room and a pitch.
To configure this:
1. Select Add Forcible.
2. Choose either Bookings or Addons.
3. Select the resource or add-on you want to include automatically.
4. Save your changes.
A forced amenity or facility must be available for the booking to proceed. If it is already booked or otherwise unavailable, the main booking may also be unavailable.
Add-ons can have quantity limits, so they are not always available in unlimited quantities.
