League Payment Options
Pitchbooking Leagues offers flexible payment options to suit how you would like to collect weekly fixture fees.
When creating a league, you can choose Automatic, Manual, or Both.
Automatic Payments
With Automatic payments enabled, fixture fees are collected directly through Stripe when results are entered.
Once a fixture has been completed:
Open the fixture in the league dashboard
Enter the score
Select Save
Saving the result will automatically trigger a charge to the card details provided by the team during league sign up.
The amount charged will be the cost per fixture per team set when the league was created.
This is the recommended option for public leagues where teams sign up directly via the league page.
Manual Payments
With Manual payments enabled, payments are recorded directly by the manager.
To record a payment:
Locate the relevant fixture
Select the three dots next to the fixture
Choose the relevant team
Select the payment method used
Available payment options include:
bank transfer
cash
card
other
not charged
This is best suited to leagues where payments are taken in person or outside of the platform.
If you have a connected Stripe terminal, you can also charge teams directly from this screen.
If you would like to use a connected terminal, please contact your Account Manager.
Both Payment Options
If required, you can enable both Automatic and Manual payments when creating the league.
This gives you flexibility to collect some payments automatically while still allowing manual payment recording where needed.
Joining Fee
If you would like to charge teams a joining fee, this is set during league creation.
Simply enter the required amount in the Joining Fee field.
Please note that joining fees can only be used when teams sign up directly through the league page.
This option is not available when using manual manager confirmation.
When signing up, teams will provide their card details and the joining fee will be charged immediately.
The same card details will then be stored and used for future automatic weekly fixture payments.
