Adding Teams to Your League
There are several ways to add teams to your league, depending on how you would like registrations and payments to be managed.
Public League Sign Up
The recommended way to add teams is to allow them to sign up directly to a public league.
To do this, ensure the league is set to Publicly Visible when creating the league, or update this later via Edit League.
Once created, the league will have its own unique URL and will also appear on your partner page.
Teams can visit your partner page or the direct league link and sign up themselves, provided spaces are available.
If the league has reached its maximum number of teams, users will be able to join the waiting list instead.
This method is best used when automatic payments are enabled.
When signing up, teams will be asked to provide card details for their weekly fixture charge. Payments are then taken when results are entered.
If a joining fee was added during league creation, this can also be charged at the point of sign up.
Inviting Teams Directly
You can also invite teams directly from the Manager Dashboard.
To do this:
Select your newly created league
Select Invite Teams
Choose an existing customer from your database, or invite a new customer
Send the invitation
The invited team will receive an email prompting them to sign up to the league by selecting the Sign Up link and visiting the league page.
This is a great option for teams who have already expressed interest before the league goes live.
Private Leagues
Direct invitations can also be used for private leagues.
This is useful where you already know all teams that will be entering and do not want the league to be publicly visible.
Private leagues still have their own unique URL, but they will not appear on your partner page.
If required, the league privacy setting can be changed at any time by selecting Edit League and updating the visibility toggle.
This allows leagues to be switched between private and public after creation.
Manual Team Confirmation
Teams can also be invited and manually confirmed.
This method is best suited to leagues where:
you already know all participating teams
payments will be taken in person
automatic payments are not required
Please note this method cannot be used with automatic payments or a league joining fee.
This option works particularly well if you are using a connected payment terminal.
If you would like to use a connected terminal, please contact your Account Manager.
This setup is ideal for leagues where weekly payments are collected in person at the venue.
