Creating a Retrospective Booking
Overview
A retrospective booking is used when you need to record a booking that has already taken place, ensuring it appears in your system for tracking, reporting, and invoicing purposes.
This process allows you to add past bookings, adjust pricing if required, and issue invoices for outstanding payments.
When to Use a Retrospective Booking
A facility or service was used without being pre-booked in the system.
You need to add historical booking records for audit or reporting.
A customer requires an invoice for past usage.
Steps to Create a Retrospective Booking
Select “Create New Booking” in the booking system.
Choose the customer from the customer list.
Enable retrospective mode by selecting the toggle “Booking is a retrospective booking”.
Enter the required date(s) of the past booking and select Next.
Adjust pricing and tax if necessary.
Select payment method:
If payment has already been made, select one of the paid options.
If the booking still needs to be invoiced, select “Unpaid”.
Choose 'not charged' for a free booking
Outcome
The booking will now be recorded in your system and can be invoiced if required.
