Payment Processing with Pitchbooking and Stripe
This article explains how payments are handled when a booking is made through Pitchbooking, how they are transferred, and how to confirm successful transactions.
Does Pitchbooking hold payment when a transaction has been made?
No. Pitchbooking acts solely as the facilitator of the transaction. When a customer makes a booking, the payment is processed via Stripe and automatically transferred to your connected Stripe account.
Pitchbooking does not, and will never, hold any funds.
Does the payment go straight into my bank account?
Yes, but indirectly. Payments go directly to your Stripe account. From there, the transfer to your bank account is based on the payout schedule configured in your Stripe settings.
Note: It is recommended to maintain a balance buffer in Stripe to cover potential refunds or any other issues that may impact your available funds.
How do I know if a payment has been successful?
You and your customer will both receive confirmation emails once a payment is successfully processed. Additionally, the booking will appear in the Pitchbooking system.
If a payment fails (e.g. due to a card issue), the customer will be notified immediately and will not be able to complete the booking.
