Choosing Between Subscription and Priority Access
When managing block bookings on Pitchbooking, you have two main options: Subscriptions and Priority Access. Each method suits different booking needs and offers distinct benefits around payment and user control.
Key Differences
Feature | Subscription | Priority Access |
|---|---|---|
Payment | Weekly automatic payment (Stripe or Offline) | Pay at time of booking |
Booking Responsibility | Once scheduled, locked in weekly. | User books their own slot(s) every time. |
Slot Availability | Automatically secured weekly | Held exclusively for the user, but user must book online |
Flexibility | Fixed and recurring | Flexible, user-controlled |
Best For | Consistent weekly users | Teams with multiple bookers, or flexible needs |
When to Use a Subscription
Choose Subscription if:
You want to secure the same slot every week for a user or team.
You need reliable, recurring income via Stripe or offline payment.
You prefer centralised booking management (no user action required).
Subscriptions automatically renew weekly and ensure that slots remain booked without requiring user input.
When to Use Priority Access
Choose Priority Access if:
You want users to manage and book their own sessions.
You need flexible access without recurring payments.
You are managing a team with multiple authorised bookers.
You want bookings to be paid online at the time of reservation.
Priority Access gives users the ability to log in, view their reserved slots, and book directly at their convenience. These slots will be hidden from the public and only visible to the assigned users.
Summary
Use Subscription for reliable, hands-off weekly bookings with automated payments.
Use Priority Access when flexibility and user-managed bookings are preferred.
