Linking a Codelocks Device to Your Facilities
Once you've added your Codelocks device to Pitchbooking, the next step is to link it to the correct site and facilities.
This ensures that customers booking the relevant facilities can receive access codes for the correct lock.
Please Note: Selecting a site does not automatically link the lock to every facility at that location. You'll need to choose which facilities the lock should provide access to.
How to Link a Lock to a Facility
Follow the steps below to connect your Codelocks device to the correct facilities.
Step 1 – Open Lock Control
Log in to your Pitchbooking Manager Dashboard and go to Company Settings > Lock Control.
This will open the Smart Lock Configuration page, where you'll see your existing lock devices.
Find the device you'd like to configure.
Step 2 – Edit Your Device
Click Edit Device on the relevant lock.
This will open the device settings, where you can choose which site and facilities the lock should be linked to.
Step 3 – Select Your Site
Choose the Site where your lock has been physically installed.
For example, if your venue has multiple locations, make sure you select the correct site before continuing.
Step 4 – Select Your Facilities
Select the Facilities or Sub-Facilities that the lock will provide access to.
For example:
If your lock controls the main entrance gate to a sports venue, you may need to link it to multiple pitches or courts.
If your lock controls access to one specific pitch, select only that facility.
If your venue has sub-facilities, make sure you select the relevant individual areas rather than assuming the main facility selection includes them all.
Once you've selected the required facilities, click Save to confirm your changes.
Checking Your Lock Configuration
After saving, return to the device overview and check that the correct facilities are displayed on the lock's device card.
If the device shows Facilities: None, this means it hasn't been linked to any facilities and won't be associated with bookings for facility access.
Please Note: If you change the site associated with a lock, any previously selected facilities will be cleared. You'll need to select the correct facilities again and save your changes.
Testing Your Lock
Before relying on your lock for customer access, we recommend creating or using a suitable test booking for one of the linked facilities.
Check that an access code is provided as expected and test it at the physical lock to confirm everything is working correctly.
If your lock is linked to the wrong facility, update the configuration and test it again before allowing customers to rely on access codes.
