Getting Started with Pitchbooking Locks
Pitchbooking Locks allows you to provide customers with access codes for their bookings, helping you manage access to your facilities more efficiently.
Once a supported smart lock has been set up and linked to the correct facility, Pitchbooking can generate access codes for eligible bookings.
Before purchasing or installing any locks, you'll need to speak with your Pitchbooking Account Manager to discuss your requirements.
Your Account Manager will connect you with Codelocks, who will help identify the most suitable lock or locks for your venue.
This process includes:
Discussing Your Requirements: Tell your Account Manager which doors, gates or entrances you'd like to manage using Pitchbooking Locks.
Confirming Compatible Locks: We'll put you in touch with Codelocks to confirm the specific lock models required for each entrance, taking into account the type of door or gate.
Purchasing Your Locks: Once the appropriate models have been confirmed, you can arrange to purchase the recommended devices.
Installation & Setup: Arrange for the locks to be physically installed and configured before connecting them to Pitchbooking.
Please Note: Do not purchase any smart locks before discussing your requirements with your Account Manager and Codelocks. Not all lock models are compatible with Pitchbooking, and different doors or gates may require different hardware.
Once your locks have been confirmed and installed, you can begin adding them to your Pitchbooking Manager Dashboard using the steps below.
How to Add a Codelocks Device
To add your first smart lock, follow the steps below.
Step 1 – Open Lock Control
Log in to your Pitchbooking Manager Dashboard and go to Company Settings > Lock Control.
This will open the Smart Lock Configuration page, where you can manage your lock devices.
Step 2 – Add a New Device
Click the Add Device button.
Under Which provider are you using?, select Codelocks.
Choose your confirmed lock model from the available options.
Step 3 – Name and Initialise Your Lock
Enter a Lock Name that will be easily recognised by your team.
For example, you might use 'Main Entrance Gate' or '3G Pitch Access'.
Follow the approved setup instructions to initialise your device. Make sure you coordinate this step with the person responsible for installing and managing the physical lock.
What Happens Next?
Once your device has been added, you'll need to link it to the relevant site and facility in Pitchbooking.
Please Note: Adding a lock does not automatically connect it to a facility or enable access codes for bookings.
After linking your lock, we recommend testing it with a booking or using the 'Generate Keycode' button to confirm that access codes are working correctly before relying on them for customer access.
